Why so serious?

So apparently, people are tiring of product reviews, namely Not My Dad and someone who can only be referred to as Not My Mom (who rudely diverted people to Leah Remini's blog. But what can you expect?) Although, I was just thinking today, when my favorite blog BunnyShop does their beauty product reviews, they spread them out periodically, not all in a row.

Today was supposed to be about Diorshow Iconic Mascara, but I only picked it up today and haven't had a chance to try it out. Besides, people are tired about hearing about make-up.

So, in place of that, what movies have people seen lately and are they only good? I plan on seeing Mamma Mia! and/or Journey to the Center of the Earth (secret Brendan Fraser fan!) on Friday and The Dark Knight on Saturday. Personally, I am probably the only one who has not seen it. But anyways, movie, reviews, etc, feel free to leave them in the comments section!

I want to see The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants movie that comes out in August. I've read the books and saw the first movie so I've been waiting and waiting for this one to come out!

Mike and I saw Dark Knight last week. Awesome! The best one yet! I was hearing a lot about Ledger's performance being Oscar worthy and just thought people wanted to find a way to honor him. I was wrong.....he stole the show!!
I'm hearing from people Mama Mia! is also great. And this is coming from people I wouldn't normally think would like it. Mike and I also want to see Brendan Fraser's new one as well. Boy, Jet Li sure has been busy!
Although, I did enjoy Hancock.....I did think it was on the bit violent side. I surprisingly really liked Jason Bateman in this. He's getting to be quite good. Has anyone seen Wall-E? I hope to see it. I've always enjoyed Pixar movies.

Me too Cindy! Haven't read any of the books and not familiar with the story, but the movie looks good! America Ferrera is in it too. I like her!

I wasn't trying to disrespect the product reviews on the previous blog. In fact, I actually enjoyed them. My most recent beauty find is Loreal's Infalliable 6Hr lipgloss in 305-Fiery. Beautiful color that suits my dark skin but at almost ten dollars it is a bit on the expensive side for a drugstore lipgloss. I don't agree with the six hour label but Loreal's marketing department knows it has to have a gimmick to lure people in. My other beauty find is a Neutrogena lipstick (their new ones) in 25-Sunny Berry. I'm on the fence with this one but I am going to try to return it and get a refund because I left it in my car and it melted in the Garbage Grove heat. Peace out!

Sorry, I forgot. I don't go to the movies. Mr. Eyre does not take me out anymore. He likes to lay on the couch and watch reruns of Law and Order. I think I need to find myself a boyfriend.

I saw The Dark Knight opening weekend. A really good movie. I didn't care for Christian Bale's portrayal of Batman, although his Bruce Wayne wasn't too bad. And of course, Heath Ledger was SUPERB as The Joker. I want to see the movie again just for his scenes! It's a shame they'll have to recast the character if they make another Batman with The Joker. I don't think anyone will be able to top that performance.
I saw Journey to the Center of the Earth this past Saturday. I also am a Brendan Fraser fan (have been since Encino Man, heeheehee!). It was okay. It's probably one of those movies you have to see in 3D (it was made for it). I still liked it, but I'll be honest; I'm glad we saw the matinee show.

And I still haven't seen Kung Fu Panda!! I'm now regretting not taking Andrew to see it while I was visiting :( .

Oh, and I have to see the new Mummy movie!

Spanky, no complaining about not seeing Kung Fu Panda. You were invited by a very nice father to take his son to that movie while you were in Washington (or so I am told, I wouldn't know for sure as I don't live in Washington and don't know said father).
As far as you, Blogmaster A, there will be no movies for you until you finish your school paperwork and give your room a good cleaning (Since I've never been to your house and don't know you personally I'm only guessing that those items need to be done, especially since you're always on the computer blogging, etc.). Maybe if you get this stuff done, your presumably kind and generous father may let you take Cindy to the Pants on a road trip movie. Word on the street is that you'll be seeing her soon, which I obviously can't verify, since I don't know you or her.
Finally, I'll talk about Heath Ledger. I hate to kick a man when he's down (or in this case, dead), but that last time he got critically acclaimed for a role, he was doing something less that rated PG. I, too, would like to see the Dark Knight, but just hope it doesn't turn into Breakback Batman. Signed, Not Your Dad, but possibly Adam West, Burt Ward or Caesar Romero, and definitely not Tito Jackson or Merle Osmond.

I want to see the traveling Pants movie too! I also have read all the books and saw the first movie.

I also want to see the third Mummy! I saw the first two and loved them, even though they seemed to generate a lukewarm response. I saw hancock and it was pretty good! Although a bit more serious than Will Smith usually does, and he kept pursing his lips in that funny way! And Jason Bateman was pretty good. And I haven't seen Wall-E, but Andrew has I think.

Oh, I know that weren't meaning to diss the product reviews! It was just NYM and NYD =) But they don't revel in make-up like you and I do! lol.

Journey to the Center of the Earth might actually be playing at the Seattle Science Center in IMAX, which would be cool to see! Kung-Fu Panda was alright. Probably one of Jack Black's better movies I guess.

Dad, I mean NYD, you are beginning to sound like Daniel Handler and his alter ego Lemony Snicket. Good luck figuring out who that is. And all that stuff will get done, and I will still go to the movies. And of course I will be taking Cindy, and anyone else who wants to go. And lastly, stop kicking poor Heath when he's dead, and stop being so prejudiced (sexist? homophobic?) just because he did Brokeback Mountain.

Whoa, whoa, whoa! Who brought up the "H" word. I'm sure that your father is not "H-phobic", nor am I. I thought that this was a family blog. I may have to block this site on my computer now. Signed,
Not Your Dad, but possibly Billy Graham or Jimmy Swaggart, and definitely not Nathan Lane.

Hey, not your dad, only one person in the world calls me Spanky. BUSTED!

Anyway, I'm not complaining about Kung Fu Panda. I said I'm regretting NOT taking him. So there :P *thbthbtbpbth*

And like not your daughter said, leave Heath alone. These are 2 different movies and 2 different roles.

By the way, Ally, I bought A Knight's Tale for $5 at Target! It's a cute movie. Very funny at times :) Have you seen it?

Thanks Michelle for the heads up on Journey to the Center of the Earth! Mike and I just may have to take a trip to the IMAX. I agree, I thought Bale's Batman in this one was a tad weak. He was rather skinny & frail compared to the first one where he was buffed out. A little disappointing.
