Happy Hundreth Blog Post!

What better way to celebrate than with the kick off of Contest Week Extravaganza?! =)

So, the first contest question is: What is the best jeans you ever bought and wore and liked?

Personally I don't care if ya bought 'em last Tuesday or in the seventh grade, what were your fave pair? Please include details such as where you got them, how well they fit, if they fit in with a certain fad (acid wash, flared, skinny jeans, high waist, etc.), and the price. Hopefully you can remember all of that =)

My personal favorites are this pair I got from Steve and Barry's. They are from Sarah Jessica Parker's Bitten line, and they only cost $8.98! They are skinny legged, and when I bought them they had this perfect dark wash (unfortunately they have been washed a few too many times). They have a bit of stretch to them, which I like, and have remained a good length, which to me is crucial. I never thought skinny jeans would look good on me, but I'm glad I found ones I like, especially for the price! (by the way, I could not find my jeans online, so I made do with this picture from eBay. But they don't do justice to my jeans at all! Mine are a darker wash and less skin tight than that picture!) Visit here for store locations.

Okay ya'll get to it, the first contest question! If you are picked as today's winner, you will receive the DVD Thirteen in the mail (in a somewhat) promt(ish) manner =) And besides, this is all for the big one, Never Too Much of a Good Thing!

I never had a favorite pair of jeans. I usually just looks for what fits and is cheap.

In 9th grade my sister gave me a pair of jeans for my birthday. I don't know where she got them, but I remember her telling me what a bargain they were--only $7! They were dark blue skinny jeans with butterflies on the back pockets. They stretched a little bit around the waist so they made the perfect fit.

Hmm...I think I've had way too many favorite pairs of jeans, lol! Right now, my faves are Vigoss. I got them probably 2 years ago from JC Penney for...oh, maybe $25?? and I still wear them. Normal waist, boot-cut, blue with a little pre-wear fading in a few areas. They look great with anything. Well, almost anything. I wore them to the Maiden concerts (with a studded belt, perfect), and I wore them to the semi fancy work Christmas party last year with a nice sweater and camisole. I got some compliments from that since the day before some of my co-workers had told me not to wear jeans because I'd be the only weird one not really dressing up. Ha! I showed them!
These jeans are so comfy! They're not stretchy or anything fancy. But they fit. And I also have to watch out for the length. It's worse having long legs than short legs when pants shopping, am I right Ally? :P

Oh, and I signed up on Blogger! Lol.

Can you say old navy??? haha jkjk. but actually, i love gap jeans! they are basically the same as old navy jeans, but $30 more and old navy has 3 styles, gap has 6. i love the "classic" jeans, preferably in the darkest wash cuz as they say on what not to wear..."you can dress dark jeans up or down , but with light jeans, they are only casual" haha. i have to say, i cant wear low rise jeans anymore...sad as that is, but the whole muffin top thing just doesnt float my boat...so i have to say that my favorite pair of jeans are from the gap...classic, mid-rise, straight through hips and thighs and slightly bootcut...$59.50...but with my 30% employee discount: $41.65 :)

I can't say I've had just one. I've had many! One pair was my Diesel jeans I got for $40 that were orig. $110! Bought them at Planet Funk about 8 yrs. ago. They were a sz. 3 and they lasted for many years. The nice blue color stayed true for so long. I held onto them even though I grew out of them. I finally handed them down to your cousins. Another pair was my blue Fossil jeans I got at the Ontario outlet about 7 yrs. ago. All their jeans were marked down to $7! I bought 2 pairs and they held up so well. I, of course, again out grew them. It hurt to let them go since they were still in great shape.I also loved my Mavi's! Had 2 pairs and got compliments on them. Their blue color never faded and they held up for the years I had them. Italians know how to make good jeans! But my all time favorites are Levi's! Always soft, stretchy, comfortable, and last forever! You can never go wrong!

Levis 505. They're the same as the classic 501, but have a zipper instead of the "button fly". It's rough having a button fly when you have to go to the bathroom in a hurry. You can leave the DVD with your dad. I'll pick it up from him, as I've always wanted to meet him. Hope that you don't mind that I'll be selling on E-Bay tomorrow.
Signed,
Not Your Dad, but possibly Andrew or Adam, but definitely not Louie Cunningham.

Heather I loved hearing about your cute jeans! I want some with butterflies on the butt too!
maidenmeeshie! I love dark wash jeans! They are the only kind I buy, usually for a different reason, what not to wear says they are slimming =) I didn't even think about the whole dress up/dress down factor! But it's so true. Just another reason to love dark wash. And yes, having long legs is sort of a pain whenever it comes to pants! ;)
Bahaha Queen of Stealth, "can you say old navy". I never even thought of the gap for jeans! Maybe it was that whole $30 more thing =( But if they're great, then it's prob worth it. And I love how you watch what not to wear too, I listen to them about their dark wash advice too. And the muffin top part made me nearly fall out of my seat from laughter. Lol.
boogs, you know all the places to get expensive jeans for less! Good deal!
And oh, nyd, you would mention button flies... which I'm pretty sure no one wears any more. At least I hope. Obviously you don't, which is good.
