El Cuatro Dia!
*That's "the fourth day" for those of you who didn't figure it out already...but I'm sure you did =)
The winner of the lip gloss contest was (oddly enough): "your dad" (who happens to be my dad).
Today's question: What is your all time favorite book?
Mine happens to be Gone with the Wind; it has everything!: romance, action, suspense, fashion, and history. You can't lose!
Sorry this is so short, but I have to leave for work in nine minutes, and I've been gone all day outlet shopping (on the bright side, I got the cutest pink Coach purse that was already marked on sale for $99.99, and it rang up $49.99!!! Fabbity fab!)

My all time favorite book is D.H. Lawrence's Lady Chatterley's Lover. The story is about a young rich married woman, Constance (Lady Chatterley), whose upper-class husband, Clifford Chatterley, has come back from World War 1 paralyzed and rendered impotent. He is mostly bedridden but gets around his estate in a motorized wheelchair. Her sexual frustration leads her into an affair with the estate's gamekeeper, Oliver Mellors. This was written in 1928 and the sexual explicit content was very scandulous for its time. Like all British novels/stories there involves the class difference between rich Lady Chatterley and her poor lover. I recommend the book but if you are lazy see the movie. There are three versions of the movie. The first and best starring Sylvia Krystal as Lady Chatterley and Nicholas Clay as Oliver Mellors. The second movie was with Joely Richardson as Constance and Sean Bean as Oliver Mellors. The third version is a french made film with english subtitles. I used to carry a paperback version of this book with me in my purse everywhere. Love it!
I demand a recount! Lol! J/K.
I don't think I have a favorite book. Maybe Jurassic Park. I know I read that several times back in the day. I don't remember all of it anymore...I know the movie way better, hehe. I like da dinamasaurs :)
Way to go NYD!
I would have to narrow it down to Roots. I love how Alex Haley did extensive research on his family's background and followed thru in bringing his ancestors story to life. He even tied himself up at the bottom of an actual ship while only wearing a loin cloth in order to get an understanding of how it must of been as an African slave being brought over to America. The novel has everything!I recommend it.
My favorite book is The Giver just cause it's an interesting perspective on the future/new world.
My favorite book is To Kill a Mockingbird. Read the book in 9th grade and saw the movie several times. Love it!!
My favorite book, hands down, is the Bible. I've read it cover to cover several times and each time I find something new. It provides life guidance, hope, and the road to eternal life. What else do you need?
After the Bible, at a distant second, is "The Power Within" by Chuck Norris.
Signed,
Stephen
I will have to concur whole-heartedly with "Stephen" on the book selection. That being said, I must address this "MaidenMeeshie", who from this point forward will be referred to as "Spanky". It was implied by Spanky that some sort of fix was in as I won yesterday's prize. Just to show that there was no bias here, I will ask the blogmaster to send my prize, the Oscar snubbed "Wedding Planner", starring the also Oscar snubbed "Jennifer Anthony" (Jennifer Lopez for you feminists. For those from the "hood", J-Lo, and for those from the "block", Jenny), to said Spanky, so that she can have hours of theatrical entertainment.
Signed,
Not your dad, but possibly P. Diddy, Puff Daddy, or Ben Affleck, and definitely not Chris Judd.
Please ignore everything NYD said :) .
That's one movie I'm not sad to not win :D
My all time favorite book is the Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini. It's about two childhood friends living in Afghanistan during the 1980's when Russia invaded the country. They made a movie based on the novel but I haven't seen it yet. I highly recommend reading the Kite Runner because it's one of those books that stays with you long after you've read it.
