Resolutionary Board

It started out with two pictures to motivate me to lose weight, er... eat healthy. Then three months passed by and that little goal had not happened (this may have to do with the fact that my favorite meal consists of a bag of chips).

January rolled around the pictures were still there but they looked sort of lonely, sad, and meaningless. But then my supervisors gave my staff bags of kettle corn that bore the inscription "Bell! Let's make 2011 poppin'!" And the same week, we made collages at our inservice about the New Year, and I made one that I was quite pleased with in its simplicity.

It was then the Resolutionary Board was created. I've posted all of the above plus inspirational quotes from my Keep Calm Carry On Calendar, like:

- "We need hope. We need change. We need experiences. We need pens." - Jack Donaghy
- "No one has a right to sit down and feel hopeless. There's too much work to do." - Dorothy Day
- "After all tomorrow is another day" - Vivian Leigh in Gone With the Wind
- "Chin up! Chest out! Back Straight!" - American Military Slogan
- "At the end of the day, we can endure much more than we think we can." - Frida Kahlo
- "We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars." - Oscar Wilde
- "The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.” - Martin Luther King Jr.
And my two favorites...
" It's not the tragedies that kill us, it's the messes" - Dorothy Parker
- "There cannot be a crisis next week. My schedule is already full" - Henry Kissinger

Lastly, I've posted "This Week I Will", penned by yours truly: Get up on time, eat real meals (I'm looking at you bag of hot cheetos), be prepared for class, be more active, plan ahead, and stay committed".

What would you resolutionary board look like?
