When I grow up, I wanna see the world, drive nice cars

Cutter & Buck Jr. Writing Pad, $47.76

I'm not sure what it is about Costco Scholar Meetings that make me want to turn into a professional who wears elegant jewelry and dark colors and cardigans and pearls and carries business cards and Moleskine notebooks and padfolios, but it does it virtually every time.

The second to last meeting I attended was a resume workshop and I learned some very invaluable information (I took two pages of notes, of course), and whilst I was there everyone whipped out these professional looking portfolios or padfolios and I just had a slightly bent Seattle University folder that I got for free, some business cards stuffed in one of the pockets (no card holder for me yet), and some extra resumes. But I was thinking a padfolio would be so much more useful, with paper to write on, a place to put those valuable (and expensive) business cards, a folder for resumes, and even a pen holder. Much more efficient. It kind of reminds me of Penny from Inspector Gadget's Control Book (except mine does not have a mirror or a computer or anything like that).

Above is an alright one with a cute print inside. But if anyone can find a cheaper and cuter one, I'd be much obliged! =)

I wanna see you when you wake up, wake up, wake up, Cuz you look good with no make up, make up, make up

Ecotools Foundation Brush, $7.99

READER MAIL!

Ally, what do you use to apply foundation? foundation brush, sponge, or your fingertips? e.eyre

I use brushes to apply both my liquid foundation and my powder foundation. I've used sponges before but if you buy cheap ones they soak up your foundation faster so I don't recommend those. Fingertips will do in a pinch too but I just don't like getting my fingers that dirty lol. Brushes give a really even application too. But I would wash them often or they get bacteria, and mine looked gross before my friend Courtney was like you really need to wash these. Ok there's my sermon =)
