My favorite was the original one. I was one of the few fortunate ones who was there (besides your mom, the doctor, and a few nurses). I can still remember hearing the doctor say, "It's a girl!" and then holding in your arms for the first time. It's one of the all time favorite moments in my life.
My favorite memory of you is when I came to visit you at the hospital right after you were born. Grandma was holding you in her arms while sitting on a chair and I was standing over her, looking at you. It is then that I saw you open your eyes for the very first time. Everyone was so excited when that happened!
My favorite is probably is this. Because I barely knew you when you turned 19 and 20 was good but again I don't really remember it. So this one will for sure be the best.
Favorite birthday memory: watching the shopping network for hours because we didn't have school the next day and as the night wore on the matching sweater/scarf hat looked more and more fashionable. Favorite memory: you creeping on me as I grumpily walked to the shower/class. Well, that's one of them at least. Happy birfday!!
I have a very vivid memory of you at Mom and Tata's house when you turned 3. You were standing on a dining room chair, cake and candles in front of you, and for some odd reason, when we all started to sing Happy Birthday, you started crying as if you were scared! You didn't stop crying until we stopped singing! We never learned why!!
And of course I remember when you announced your arrival! Your mom and I were at home and your mom called out to me, "I think my water just broke!". She was surprised as it was too early! Your dad met us at the hospital and the next thing we knew, there was this tiny cute bundle smaller than the small load of laundry on the sofa! LOve you, Aunt Cissy
I still vividly remember when your mom told me she was pregnant with you. She had picked me up from school (or was it work?) my Sr. year and told me the news on the way home. I was so excited! And the very first time I held you.......Thanksgiving '89. (I had gotten sick after you were born, so I had to keep my distance). From then on, there are too many memories to pick just one. Since mom babysat you everyday I was lucky enough to watch you grow during your first yrs. You were a perfect child and we loved having you around.
My funniest moment with you was when I took you to see the Natalie Portman movie Where The Heart Is (2000). There was a scene where one of the characters prays,"Dear Lord, please forgive me for the fornication that happened here at the kitchen table." At which point you said rather loudly in the movie theater, "WHATS FORNICATION?". LOL.
